Following the completion of the Three Solar PV Submersible Pump at Upi, Gamu, Isabela of the Upi Farmers Irrigators Association Inc., a modest blessing, turn-over and Induction ceremony of the officers was held on Tuesday September 29, 2020, attended by the key official of the Local Government Unit of Gamu, Isabela, National Irrigation Administration, Regional Office 02 and NIA – Isabela Irrigation Management Office.
Among the attendees from LGU of Gamu were Municipal Mayor Hon. Nestor M. Uy, Vice Mayor Nestor Lacerna, Municipal Agriculturist Officer Mr. Exequiel Tabin, and the Barangay Officials of Upi lead by Barangay Captain George E. Gatering, For the NIA Region 02 headed by the Regional Manager Raymundo B. Apil as the Guest of honor speaker and the Division Manager of Engineering and Operation Division Engr. Wilfredo U. Salvador, for Isabela Irrigation Management Office lead by the Division Manager Engr. Felipa S. Sumer, Engr. Richard A. Bibbigan, Chief of Engineering Section, the Project In-charge Engr. Angel B. Coloma and other staff and the IA Officers and members headed by the IA President Nowlin V. Rosiete.
The Ceremony was in three parts. The first part was the induction of irrigator’s Association Officers which was led by the Guest of Honor Engr. Raymundo B. Apil as the inductee. The second part was the turn-over Ceremony and giving of Plaque of Recognition. And the third part was the cutting of ribbon lead by Regional Manager Raymundo B. Apil and the Municipal Mayor Honorable Nestor M. Uy and followed by by the benediction of the Three Solar Pump carried out by Rev. Father Major Antenor M. Hernandez parish priest of the 5th Infantry Division Philippine Army.
The IA President Mr. Nowlin V. Rosiete expressed his gratitude for the 3 Solar Pump Projects of the National Irrigation Administration to help the farmer beneficiaries to have sufficient supply of sustainable water and help them to increase yield production per hectare.
The event was highlighted by the message of the Guest of Honor speaker Engr. Raymundo B. Apil. He encouraged the IA officers and members of the IA to properly managed the project to sustained the project objectives year by year. He also commended that the officers and members be actively participate in all IA activities especially in the operation and maintenance. He reiterate to the NIA Isabela Irrigation Management Office Staff the mandate of NIA to develop potential area for irrigation and exert best effort and delivering the agency mandate. NIA is still have many proposed projects to develop. And in closing he was happy in attending gathering like this turn over because it shows that NIA have work accomplished.
