NIA Welcomes New Year with Pinwheels

NIA Region 2, together with Isabela Irrigation Management Office and MARIIS, welcomed 2018 through Pinwheels Ceremony.

On January 3, 2018, the first working day of the year, rank and file employees and staff and the top management participated in the ushering of the New Year. Each employee held a colorful pinwheel, which symbolizes the turning of obstacles into favorable chances; thus, the theme “NIA 2018: Transforming Challenges Into Infinite Opportunities.”

"The good Lord has given us another chance to be the light and to strive for our family, co-workers, friends and the Filipino people. The good that we have done can be better as we commit together, to move forward with integrity and excellent service,” Acting Regional Irrigation Manager Constancio G. Bana-ay, Jr. shared in his message.

ARIM Bana-ay, who was newly-installed as Director of Region 2 on December 1, 2017, also took the opportunity to remind employees of their commitments, to brace themselves for the big project that Region 2 will be implementing in the succeeding months, such as the Chico River Pump Irrigation Project.

After the simple ceremony, no time was wasted as the First Execom Meeting for 2018 was held immediately to set directions for the whole year and to thresh out issues and concerns at hand.
