JANUARY 17, 2024—The Public Relations Team of the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Region II conducted its first meeting held at the 3/F NIA Regional Office II, Brgy. Camasi, Peñablanca, Cagayan.

The Public Relations Team plays a pivotal role in delivering support services to the organization, not only by promoting the agency's best image but also by ensuring the effective development and implementation of information, education, and communication programs for its stakeholders and primary clients—Filipino farmers.

In her message, Department Manager of the Public Affairs and Information Staff (PAIS), Ms. Clarizze C. Toribio encouraged the PR Team of NIA Region II to enhance information programs, continuously evaluate the most suitable communication mediums and channels for farmers, especially in this era of digitalization where the needs of target audiences are rapidly evolving. She inspired the team to convert challenges into opportunities to grow and improve PR campaigns. “Ipagpatuloy ang pagbibigay ng tamang impormasyon sa tamang pagkakataon. Katulad ng paanyaya ng ating butihing NIA Administrator Engr. Eduardo Eddie Guillen, patuloy na magkaisa at magbayanihan para sa ikauunlad ng pamumuhay ng ating mga minamahal na magsasaka, ng ahensya, at ng ating komunidad,” she said.

Pereña (Public Relations Officer), was attended by the Public Designates and Artist Illustrators from Isabela IMO, Cagayan-Batanes IMO, Nueva Vizcaya IMO, and Quirino IMO who presented their Highlights of Accomplishments and Statistics of Farmers Issues/Concerns for CY 2024, and Communication Plan for CY 2025.
