PURPLE WEDNESDAY! "Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas"

In commemoration of the 2025 National Women's Month, the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Region 2, led by Regional Manager Engr. Raymundo B. Apil, is ensuring that women from all sectors have equal rights to opportunities, resources, and full recognition of their rights. Special programs were outlined by the Agency to give tribute not only for women but also for men as allies in fostering an inclusive society.

Since 1988, the entire month of March has been recognized by Filipinos as tribute for all women in our lives, and throughout history, to their noteworthy milestones, admirable sacrifices, and extraordinary roles in all spheres of the society. This event also includes the celebration of International Women’s Day (March 8, 2025).

Globally recognized as the "Color of Women," symbolizing justice and dignity, COLOR PURPLE holds deep significance. In solidarity, NIA Region 2 personnel are encouraged to wear purple every Wednesday throughout the month, reflecting their commitment to gender equality and empowerment.
