February 14, 2025—the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Region 2 participated in the 1st Business Meeting for CY 2025 of the Department of Agriculture Regional Management Committee 2 (DA RMC2) at the DA-Cagayan Valley Research Center in San Felipe, City of Ilagan, Isabela.
Representing NIA Region 2, Engr. Orlando R. Espejo, Division Manager of the Engineering and Operations Division, presented the Agency’s Water Management-Related Projects. His presentation covered small reservoir, pumping, and intake irrigation projects. He also highlighted the ongoing CY 2024 and proposed CY 2025 solar-powered irrigation projects, along with proposed projects for the tail-end areas, which were identified as high impact projects that will surely benefit farmers and the agricultural sector as a whole in the region.
This undertaking aimed to align and strengthen collaboration among partner agencies under the DA RMC2, ensuring harmonized programs and projects that support sustainable agricultural development within Region 2.
