FSDE UPDATE: CHICO RIVER - STO. NIÑO PIP

STO. NIÑO, Cagayan—The National Irrigation Administration-Cagayan Batanes Irrigation Management Office (NIA-CBIMO) conducted Reconnaissance Survey and Monument Recovery at Chico River-Sto. Niño Pump Irrigation Project (PIP), as part of the Feasibility Study and Detailed Engineering (FSDE) held on February 5, 6, and 14, 2025.

The CBIMO Survey Team headed by Engr. John Christopher S. Pascua together with Engr. Jonathan S. Han recovered multiple Ground Control Points (GCP) and Benchmarks (BM) that are essential for the survey works to be done afterwards. Upon certification of the National Mapping and Resource Information Authority (NAMRIA) to the recovered monuments, the team will establish project monuments primarily for reference of project construction phase.

Monument Recovery is conducted to locate, assess, and restore fixed reference points used in land surveying and mapping. The updated data is then documented to ensure accuracy in the construction project. This process is essential for maintaining precise measurements, supporting legal property records, and preserving historical geodetic markers.
