Ang inisyatibang ito, sa pangunguna ni Engr. Raymundo B. Apil, Regional Manager, ay naglalayong bigyan ng pagkakataon ang mga lingkod bayan na ipakita ang kanilang walang pag-iimbot na pagmamahal at pagsasakripisyo sa pamamagitan ng donasyong dugo para sa mga nangangailangan.

Pebrero 7, 2025—Matagumpay na naiturnover ng Pambansang Pangasiwaan ng Patubig o National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Isabela Irrigation Management Office (IMO) ang apat na yunit ng solar-powered irrigation pumps sa Barangay Lapogan, Tumauini, Isabela. Kabilang dito ang tatlong 7.5Hp at isang 10Hp na yunit, na layong patubigan ang 23 ektaryang lupang pansakahan sa ilalim ng Lapogan Communal Pump Irrigation System (CPIS).

Sto Tomas Small Irrigation Project, located at Barangay Sto. Tomas Claveria, Cagayan, was turned over on July 27, 2022. The event was jointly undertaken by the NIA-CBIMO, LGU, IA Officials & members, Barangay Officials, and the Contractor. The project was funded under SIP 2021 amounting to P15,000,000.00 with a total service area of 50 hectares and 40 farmer-beneficiaries. It was completed on November 29, 2021.

NIA Central Office – President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Romualdez Marcos, Jr. recently appointed former Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Undersecretary and NIA Senior Deputy Administrator Benny D. Antiporda as the NIA Acting Administrator and Member of the NIA Board of Directors. A small water impounding project is a structure constructed to hold back water and develop a reservoir that will store rainfall and run-off during the rainy season for future use. On February 23, 2022, the NIA R2 under the management of Regional Manager Raymundo B. Apil through the Cagayan-Batanes Irrigation Management Office under the management of Acting Division Manager Minda A. Battung, turned over the Cabayabasan SWIS in a simple ceremony to Barangay Cabayabasan, Lal-lo, Cagayan.

On March 3, 2022, NIA R2 under the leadership of Regional Manager Raymundo B. Apil through the Nueva Vizcaya Irrigation Management Office headed by Division Manager Edison L. Tolentino turned over in a simple ceremony the Calliangan-Balangabang Small Irrigation Project in Kayapa, Nueva Vizcaya. It was indeed a great accomplishment for the Nueva Vizcaya IMO and an endowment for the project-recipient, the Kaliangan Balangabang Irrigators Association.

Apil through the Quirino Irrigation Management Office, under the stewardship of Division Manager Edison Tolentino, continues to introduce irrigation project innovation/modernization to tap available water resources for irrigation. Balligui Solar Pump Irrigation Project (SPIP) is just one of these projects.

Solar-powered irrigation technology has been gaining interest nationwide and the agency has been promoting this option for both large and small -scale of farmers. On February 11, 2022, the NIA R2 under the management of Regional Manager Raymundo B. Apil through the Isabela Irrigation Management Office under the direct supervision of Division Manager Felipa S. Sumer, turned over four units of solar powered irrigation project in a simple ceremony to Barangay Santa Isabel, Jones, Isabela. The Php 10million CARP-IC worth project can irrigate up to 20 hectares with 26 farmer beneficiaries.

REGION 2-Marked another milestone for the Nueva Vizcaya IMO and the Kinalo Logpan Irrigators Association. In a simple ceremony on Novemebr 15, 2021, the Project Turnover and System Acceptance of Kinalo-Kongkong CIS Project in Kasibu, Nueva Vizcaya under the NIA's CIS Extension Project fund was conducted.

NIA R2 – A total of P 52,611,116.78 worth of completed Small Irrigation Project (SIP) was finally completed. The Birung SIP was inaugurated in a simple ceremony on September 14, 2021, led by Senior Deputy Administrator Abraham B Bagasin. The project is located at Barangay Liwan Norte Enrile, Cagayan which is approximately 20 kilometers away from the new población of the Municipal Town.

NIA Central Office – In adherence to the directive of Administrator Ricardo R. Visaya to fast-track the implementation of irrigation projects nationwide, the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) remains steadfast in providing timely, efficient, and sustainable irrigation service to the Filipino farmers amidst pandemic. On July 21, 2021, NIA conducted the inauguration of the P28.242-million newly-restored Main Canal Extension of East Apayao-Abulug Irrigation Project located in the Municipality of Allacapan, Cagayan.

Visaya, the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) has recently completed the P30.332-million Zinundungan River Irrigation System (Zinundungan RIS) located at Barangay Sicalao, Lasam, Cagayan.
